I always find that pictures have a radiance where the same individual can look stunning in one picture and less in the very next. Same make up.... setting, photographer.... so it is more than expression it’s on a molecular level… unexplainable… thought provoking.

We should ask ourselves what is art and what is image. In picture, painting, sculpture all can evoke different responses. What’s one person treasure may be another trash.

Do we see the tree or merely the leaves. Is it root that brings it life or the sun in the sky that nourishes with the rain that falls.

Whatever we see let it be to seek the beauty of the moment whether it relates to us or not.... even what may not be in the wheelhouse it still has a color and design unique to itself bringing bright and light

Nothing is truly ever hidden it just never has been looked for well enough to be found.....

Fully agree and embrace your questions on art and imagery. As someone who expresses best in visual form (charts and such), I often spend a lot of time demystifying imagery so that it best gets a point across... but the ambiguous imagery is (obviously) the most beautiful and can inspire the best conversations

I love this. People's perceptions of beauty and message in art are so uniquely individual; whether based on preconceptions, predilections or personal experiences. Personally I am often drawn in by smaller details of a bigger picture; to the perfection of individual curves, angles, or shadows..

and the pictures that you post are a testament to that view.....Not to mention you have a rare and very unique beauty about you which is hard to describe..... and you have the skill set to put it on the screen/...

I took an Art History class and we talked about this a lot. :) Except the art we looked at was a bit different! :p

I bet the art was "a bit different"

I recently went to Washington DC and spent a day wandering around the museums.... some pretty fabulous art there.... and free to look at....

I've been wanting to go to DC ever since I moved to the East coast! I live just a few hours away so hopefully I can make a weekend trip sometime and see some museums
