Well, what a week! Now, I love driving, but…….Wednesday I had to go to Reading, to the head office for a meeting on Thursday. For Wednesday I organised two appointments on the way down, that are in my “area”. My SatNav said the hotel was 1 hour 10 mins from the last appointment. It actually took me nearly 2 hours , traffic was a nightmare. Meeting next day was OK. Always a lot of fun when we all get together because spread about the country as we are we never see each other. The meeting finished at 3.30. By the time we’d sorted stuff out, got to my car and set off it was 3.50. Ready for a 2 1/2 hour trip home. This took me 31/2 hours!! All the motorways I had to use were congested. I was up and down the gear box like a fiddlers elbow. It was 7.30pm when I finally reached home, with a raging headache because of all the tail lights and head lights.
What amazes me is the UK motorway system was conceived to make journeys quicker! Something went wrong somewhere I think.
Friday was another far flung appointment of 11/2 hours driving there and back and last night my left shoulder was really playing up. At first I thought it may be a bit of arthritis beginning, but it got gradually worse through the evening. Now I know it’s muscular. It hurts in the front left side of my chest, my shoulder joint and also around the left shoulder blade. (Don’t panic, it’s not a heart attack!) Having a manual car is no fun when you get old! LOL
Next week, work-wise, doesn’t look much better with 2 appointments nearly every day, so a lot of driving again. I might try to get an automatic car out of them next time!

It (the shoulder) is a bit better today (Saturday) which is just as well as I’ve driven 60 miles (total) to take my bike seat to the guy who is going to refurbish it and make it more comfortable. Should be done within a couple of weeks and I am so looking forward to trying it out!

George (the cat) is totally back to normal now being very vocal whenever he wants food, which is about every time he sees us in the kitchen! He skips about and can move faster than we can sometimes.

Weather still can’t make its mind up. Dry and chilly some days, wet and chilly others, sometimes a breeze, sometimes not. Even nature is getting confused with a lot of the summer flowers starting to show their heads above ground. Hope there won’t be any more frosts!

In a bit of a battle with Paula, my eldest, at the moment. Last summer I took Logan, the eldest grandson, to the Science Museum in London. He loved it and seemed to pay special attention to all the aircraft exhibits, so this year I am hoping to take him to Duxford which is where the National Air Museum is. I’ve been several times as its a brilliant place for aircraft lovers and only 50 miles away. I’d also like to take him on the bike as he has never been on one. Paula is a little averse to this and I am having to constantly remind her that SHE used to come on the back of me and she also had her own bike when she was old enough. I think its getting through slowly that Daddy is gonna win this one! LOL I guess we’ll see closer to the time. I will do it for all the grandkids if I can, and if they want to, as I believe they should make their own mind up if they like motorbikes or not.
Anyway, watch this space!

OK Peeps, time for me to go. Gotta go shopping with “The Boss”!

Stay safe, people.
