I ended up staying up all night reading Amy Tan's latest, The Valley of Amazement. It's not too bad -- this time it's focusing on the courtesan life in 1900's Shanghai. Quite a few people I know could use some of the lessons in this one.
Today has been pretty quiet. Slept very very late today, got the kitchen tidied, made a batch of brownies. J whinged about that. But I don't care. I am in a chocolate mood, and with luck there will be headlines on Jay Leno later. I love that, even if it does remind me of my newspapering days.
Still working away on the cat project. It is more than three quarters of the way done, and I so want it finished. I have a heap of projects to work on, and I really do want to get going on
Now onto the big thing. I need to get going on the book situation -- I think I will be posting a list here, so if you want it, ask! I will do my best to get it to you. It would be nice to clear some space around here in time for Thanksgiving/Hanukah.
And the kitties are being very quiet today, thankfully. Except Mu. I still worry about him a great deal -- he's so frightfully thin, and i can tell he's having problems getting around. I wish I knew what to do -- the vet says that he's fine, but I can tell it's otherwise by watching him.
