My boyfriend turned 29 on Thursday. It’s two days before Valentines but I wanted to keep his birthday seperate from V day. We finished a little early on Friday and I told him I was taking him out to dinner but didn’t tell him where. We usually eat in the town centre but I wanted to make it special and book us a cab to some place else. I got all dressed up in a little black strapless dress, gold and black necklace and black heels. He looked so good in his red polo, jeans and black shoes. When we got into the cab he had no idea at all where we were going, all excited. I was really excited too to be taking him out and treating him for once. He treats me amazingly and so so special. So he really deserved to be taken out.
Going through all these dark lanes we eventually pulled up the place, an Italian restaurant tucked away. He was really suprised and as soon as we walked in there we were made to feel really special as if they had been waiting just for us. It was quite posh in there and at the end of the meal my boyfriend said it was the best place he had ever eaten at. We had starters, mains, a bottle of delicious wine and after we sat in the coffee lounge and had a hot chocolate mixed with Baileys - it was heaven! He really wanted to help pay but I wouldn’t let him see the receipt or let him pay a penny. I’m so glad he enjoyed it, an evening just for us was soo nice. Our weekends have been so busy recently so that was lovely to have a night just to ourselves. The cab home came at a perfect time just as we finished off our hot chocolates and I had paid. He was so grateful :)
On Saturday I got some food shopping delivered, some more wine and everything to make our own homemade pizzas. It was really fun making them together and they tasted really good. So we made and had our pizzas, had our wine, watched a movie and played Jinga. Perfect night in. ~Also before my shopping came the door buzzed and my boyfriend has suprised me with a gorgeous bouquet of 12 red roses. They were beautiful! Such a lucky girl :) My flatmate was using the only vase we had so we went to the shops to get me another one for my roses. Beautiful. The cards we exchanged had similar wording in that we wrote ourselves. His card to me really did make me smile :) He also got me a gift bag with some little treats in.
Yesterday we went bowling with his family. Bowling always sounds so boring but it really depends on the hroup that you go with. His family are really fun and competitive. We had so much fun and cheering each other on when we got good scores. I have to say that bowling is definitely not my game and I only got one strike and then most went straight down the sides haha. I did enjoy myself though :)
I really am so so happy with my other half, I don’t know how I mananged to get so lucky! He’s so special and I could not fault him in anyway.
