Most of the radio comms from the tomcats was my last Admiral - Admiral M - a Lieutenant at the time. I have a great amount of respect for him because as PEO-T (Program Executive Office - Tacair) during a brief I was giving where I was interrupted multiple times by one of my civilian bosses. He told the civilian GS to sit down and shut up and proceeded to ask me questions well past my allotted 5 minutes.
There is a brotherhood among those in uniform, even in idiotic acquisition jobs - that no civilian will ever understand.
