sunday hiking day in here

long week. interesting, but overall positive weekend.

on the way home friday, eric hit me up to go to see jupiter ascending. i didn’t really know much about it, but thought it would be good to be out after the week i had. the train was a little late, but made it to his place just in time. we ended up seeing the movie and it was ok. an interesting concept that we’re actually born from aliens. you can totally tell it is from the wachoski brothers. they’re the same ones who made the matrix movies. there was a lot of special effects. the performances by several of the actors seemed forced. i was hoping for a lot from mila kunis, but didn’t expect a lot.

after the movie, we were looking for some food. ended up at umani burger where i got the manly burger. we split a salad and fries as well. got a beer. it was pretty good. i felt a little bad eating it since it’s far from healthy, but have been pretty good with eating pretty well and doing the stairs at work.

i think i got home about 11 or so. got ready for bed and was probably asleep by midnight. woke up a few times throughout the morning. especially since they were re-roofing right above me on my building. but still didn’t really wake up until 2. so a long 14 hrs of sleep. apparently i was exhausted.

didn’t do much saturday day. but at 6, eric i met up with our coworker steve and his girlfriend. steve’s daughter was also there; she’s about my age. it was a good meal. i ordered the cheese and meat plate. basically hors d’ourves. but it was very tasty. also got a beer. then got a beer flight of 4 different beers and a dessert of nougat and something else. rounded out the night with some tea. didn’t even think to get tea until eric’s wife got there and got some. i think i made an ass of myself though. at the end when we were paying the bill, i thought i dropped money or something. steve’s daughter (i should know her name) put it on her card and we gave her cash. i asked her to count what we gave her. but i think i’m a idiot and just didn’t realize the amount i had in my wallet and that the money i thought i had was put toward my part of the bill, 43 bucks.

we were going to go down to jumbo’s clown room to see one of eric’s friends and her pole dancing class. however, when i stood up, i was feeling really tired so i decided to go home. didn’t really say goodbye. another ass move.

but i just was not feeling well. i almost puked on the way to my car, but it was a busy street. then wanted to once i got to my car, except another car was waiting for my space. thought i could make it home, but had to pull over and puke. not my best or classiest night.

passed out when i got home.

woke up about 9 and just watched tv and netflix. watched nebraska. it was pretty good. most of it was pretty sad, but ended well.

i was supposed to go hiking with my friend letty, but she cancelled. i had invited eric, but when he texted me asking if we left, i lied. i shouldn’t have, but told him there was a change of plans and wasn’t going to go. and really, i wasn’t. but around 2, i got a burst of energy and just sitting on the couch wasn’t doing it for me.

as i was prepping to go, i realized that you should not leave the remnants of a protein powder drink in a container for 2 weeks. almost puked again when i opened it. that got a lot of soap and hot water.

went to a local park and hiked about 4.5 miles. i had tried this with letty before, but didn’t make it very far, probably half way. this time, i think the stairs helped my a lot. i got all the way to the top and felt pretty good. wasn’t exactly easy, but i took some breaks and was determined to get to the top.

once i drank my protein powder this time, i immediately cleaned that sh*t out.

got home and now the grammys are on.
