Just a art opening for Berry, who designed a whimsical mural for the Children’s Room at the Noel Wien Library here in Fairbanks, as well as did true-to-life sketches and drawings of a variety of Alaskan animals. Neat little opening I happened to stumble into at the UAF Library today.
There’s a series of 7 or 8 drawings and sketches depicting a moose interacting with a woman. Although I don’t know the correct artsy terms, they are all beautifully composed and drawn… as is, really, all of his work displayed here today.

I now return you to your regularly-scheduled Friday evening.

Thanks for posting this, especially with the links. His style of art is one of my favorites because of how realistic and lifelike it is. I also like Garth Williams who illustrated several of my favorite children's books (Blueberries for Sal is one) and the beloved Little House books. This is the sort of art I wanted to do when was younger and still occasionally picked up an art pencil and sketchpad.
