So apparently I already know how to work fractions. I just forgot that I knew how to do them. At least I get a nice refresher and a fairly easy 2 weeks. Today my teacher called on the girl next to me to answer a question:
A prize was awarded to 24 women and 1490 men
What fraction of the winners were women?
What fraction of the winners were men?
Her answer was incorrect. He asked us what she did wrong. I said she was probably distracted by the blatant sexism.
Why was I the only one who thought that was funny?
