i have baby fever so badly! i really feel like if we dont procreate soon, its never going to happen. i know this isnt true…but i want to have babies before im 30.
dann and i were talking the other night. we’re also thinking about looking into buying a house or an apartment unit. buying one of these would actually end up being cheaper than renting in the long run. ive been looking up morgage (sp?) prices and it would end up being a few hundred dollars cheaper every month. we’ve also been talking about babies lately. a friend of mine told me about a month ago she is having a baby in july, two of my cousins just had babies earlier this month, a bunch of other friends had babies last year and im ready to take that step. yes, we’ve only been married a few months, but we’ve been together going on 7 years (wow…that was a weird realization!) we came to the conclusion that we can either have a baby or buy property. right now, property is the better deal. we need somewhere to put the baby before we have the baby.
my sister just put an offer in on a house. we could definitely afford a home back upstate, but we dont live there. dann says he wants to find property in queens. we looked into homes on long island, near dann’s best friend (actually looked at a place within a 10 minute walk from him) but it would be a long commute for me to work and dann would have to get a car. we are also not huge fans of long island. so now we’re going to start looking in queens. why does property have to be so expensive? we’re going to talk to dann’s friend who is a real estate agent and my financial guy to see what we need to do to make this happen.
hopefully (keep your fingers crossed for me!) i will be hired by the end of this year. i am going to talk more with my field supervisor from ETM about negotiating a contract and what i need to do in order to get hired and also what ETM can do to help me get hired. i also need to revamp my resume a little and redo my teacher application on the NYCDOE website (my application expired). i need to start looking around and see what types of jobs are out there and what type of money i should be making. i need to be making more money than what im making now. im not doing badly, but more money is necessary, especially because of lack of work over the summer. i had my breakfast with the orchestra concert this morning and it went amazingly well! the kids sounded great, parents were happy and excited to see their kids play their instruments for the first time, administration was happy and one of the city counsel men came and spoke with my school community! it was a great event. unfortunately, my principal was not present. i dont think she was at school today. i find that very weird. she was also not present at my last concert. so that concerns me very much. usually, she is involved, supportive and at least stays for most of the concert. for both my concerts this year, she has not been there. think this is a bad sign?
sigh so we’ll see. i just want to make a little more money so we can get a house and start our family. we are ready to start our family! i want to be a mommy :( hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later!
i also need to bite the bullet and make some doctors appointments. i need to go to the dentist, the gyno, the dermatologist, ENT and the eye doctor. i need to order my health insurance card so i can schedule appointments. for some reason, i never got my card. i have no idea why. gotta talk to the guy at work who does the health insurance processing. oh well!
alright i need to go to bed. early morning choir rehearsal! later.
