so i have been talking and reading up about weight loss, seeing i have decided to try and get into a different shape then round. not that i have been at it for months, but i have been going to the gym for a little while now, long enough to see some significant weight loss, and nothing. i have yet to break the 300 mark. i got cloet to it maybe about a week and a half ago but then it keeps coming back. now i understand that weight will fluxuate a few pounds here and there, up and down, and i am fine with that. but like i said i have been going to the gym at leats 3 to 4 times a week and working my ass off and… nothing. thought that it might be the pills i have been taking for me depression and anxiety, but welbutron isnt really known for weight gain but more for weight loss as a side affect.
so after talking to some of the guys at work, one of which is a amature body builder about what i could try differently i have decided to eat a little bit more. now let me explane that a bit. i log everything i eat and drink on my fitness pal and it said i should be eating around 1700 cals a day for a guy my age and height to loose about 2 ponds a week. i thought that was a bit much so i dropped it to 1550 cals a day. i have been very good and not going over that, but i havent been getting that much either. i usualy eat about 1100 to 1300 a day. thinking that would work. well it hasnt.
i talked to S about this and she said that i can if i wont, but she doesnt think that will work. so then we started talking about what it could be seeing i seem to be doing everything right to loose weight. as we talked she brought up the thyroid. i never really gave it much thought but it could be. my grandmother had to have hers removed because of cancer and as i read up on the thyroid it all started to kind of make sense. hair loss… weight gain.... trouble sleeping.... irritability.... bowl problems.... fatigue.... all of this sounded very familiar.
so tomorrow, or rather today seeing it is very early in the morning, i am going to go see my Dr. about this. i am hoping that i get some sort of answer on way or another. i mean it would make sense seeing last time i tried to loose weight i came off kind fo easy and when i stopped looking after my weight i gained like 50 lbs back in a year. that seems like a lot. so off i go to the Dr.’s I go kind of wanting to be an issue with my thyroid, but then again i dont want any more health problems.
