The kids have been busy with school this month. Kayla and Timmy are learning about the Constitution in seventh grade Social Studies. They are each working on a group project with three other kids. Aaron is learning about weather systems in fourth grade science.

My trip to New York City that was scheduled for this week has been postponed due to the snowstorm they are getting. Timmy and Aaron had hockey games this weekend. Kayla is continuing with rehearsals for the musical coming up in March. She has been practicing at home.

We went to the library yesterday. The twins have been checking out books from the intermediate reading section of the library. That section has books for sixth through eighth graders. Aaron checks out books from the children’s section. He is reading chapter books for the upper elementary grades. I remember I started reading young adult books in high school and continued through college. Guess I was still kind of immature. These days a lot of adults read young adult books. Not sure if that was as common back in the 1990s, but I guess a lot of people still did.
