Had a long weekend home but nearly died in the humidity. Ouch. Monday i came back to where I live for work and I was under the doona last night.

Life is strange. My son, who was on school holidays worked three jobs since just before Christmas. Washing dishes a night or two a week, making pizza dough three or four shifts a week and working as a builders labourer during the week. He is now back to his normal two jobs. He is 16 and is trialing for a diesel fitters apprenticeship. He is saving for a ute, like all 16 year old boys.

Daughter can’t get a job, but not sure ow hard she is trying. he has just finished her one year post school course in dance.

It has been SO humid alright. Over 90% up here in the past week.
I really respect hard-working people like your son. There should be more people like him. Hope your daughter can get a job in something she likes soon.

had to google ute. your son sounds a lot like my grandson. for a while he had 2 jobs. was in school for 30 hours a week and was working 30 hours a week. he never got a chance to rest with all his homework, jobs, school, eagle scout project and church. thankfully, all he has now is school, one job with half the hours, homework and church. oh, i think we need to add a girlfriend now. he'll be 18 in august and heading off to college shortly after that. your daughter will get a job when she's wanting something and the only way she can get it is to buy it herself. take care,
