Week one went better than expected - Lyra sleeps and eats great and I have been able to get lots of rest (2-3 hours at a time). Beau is a huge help and Adam acts as if he has been caring for a newborn his whole life (other than one explosive poop situation where I thought he was going to toss her off his lap he didn’t). Physically I feel pretty great- minor aches occasionally, but mainly only after I clean or am very active. Also excited that I only have 9 pounds to lose to get back to pre pregnancy weight!
I had a minor issue on Saturday evening with a plugged duct but after lots of nursing, heat, and some pumping I was able to relieve it by Sunday night. Now I am pumping after every other feed or so when I feel like I am overly full. Getting 4-6oz out after nursing her so i am starting to fill my freezer.
- and her cord fell off today!
