Well, the weekend has come and gone and the working week comes around quickly again. Spent most of the weekend filling the new cupboards up with the fillings we’d removed from the old ones. The dining room looked like a bomb had hit it for a week. Couldn’t see the table for cans, packets, utensils etc.

Today we had our first hiccup in the refitting of the kitchen. Tiler arrived bright and early, pulled the tiles from the garage (they were delivered last friday), and as I passed by I said “They’re not what we chose!” The black ones were the right ones, but the white ones were the same style as the black and we’d chosen larger plain white ones. Tiler got on to the boss, boss got on to the tile shop, tile shop admitted it had cocked up! So new tiles arrive tomorrow and will be picked up by the tiler. He says he will be able to do all the tiling in one day and then come back to do the grouting the following day, so it should be completed by wednesday if all goes well. I’m not complaining as we found out before any were fitted, blame has been taken and all is being rectified. So still all good.

I managed to get out on the bike yesterday. Saturday was wet and windy with gusts up to 80 mph around here. Sunday was sunny, dry, very little wind just a little cool. I met some friends at a local bikers cafe. I just had a coffee and a chat, couple of the others actually ate breakfast. They were going on for a ride out but I declined as we still had stuff to move to the kitchen and I wasn’t going to let Dawn do it all on her own. I had stuff to do in the garage anyway to get that back to being a garage again after all the kitchen cabinets were in there last week. It was fantastic to get out on the bike again, and although it had only been a week or so, I’d missed it!

Tickets are booked for a concert in May. When we go down to Cornwall at the end of May there is a 3-day concert on the beach at Perranporth called “Tunes in the Dunes” and headlining on saturday night are none other than Status Quo! I’ve been a huge fan of theirs for years and saw them a while ago so I am not going to miss this opportunity. It will also be Dawn’s first EVER concert! What a way to start! LOL Apparently, they wrote one of their hits, “Caroline”, when they were on holiday in the area.

So, no photos for this entry, but I am sure there will be in the next day or two.

Stay safe, people.
