Kayla has started having rehearsals for the musical she will be in this March. She will be in the chorus. They had rehearsals Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. One of her friends is also in the chorus, so she already knows someone there. She is getting to know some of the other kids also.

The kids did not have school on Friday of this week because of a teacher conference day. We are visiting with my grandparents in Central New York. We got snow yesterday, while we were gone. My husband had to work this weekend and told us we got about seven inches. It’s not that much for Upstate New York, but it’s still a lot. The kids’ school district had a snow day yesterday, but it didn’t matter since their school was closed anyway.

Last night we all went to the casino near Syracuse for dinner. My husband doesn’t like casino buffets, so we don’t go very often. I like them. I think this is mostly because I like weird foods and weird combinations of food, and at a buffet I can get whatever I want.

We parked in the parking garage and walked to the casino. In retrospect I would have sprung for the valet parking, because it was a really cold walk. Once we got inside, we had some trouble finding the restaurant. I felt like the Griswolds in Vegas Vacation. We were wandering down different corridors in the casino. Finally we found the restaurant. It was very tasty, but expensive. The twins still got the kiddie rate, and that helped. The food was good. They had buckets of shrimps and mussels pomodoro. Not sure if they have the seafood every night or just Friday. There were lots of yummy desserts.

On the way out of the casino we stopped and watched a pool tournament. There were about twelve tables set up with two people playing each other at pool.
