Thighs and hair and anxiety in Ponderings of the Universe

Those Blogilates workouts are kicking my butt! In a good way! I completed Day 5 earlier and it was intense! Aaron and I have been taking more rest days than indicated in the schedule but it wasn’t because we forgot or were feeling lazy. Instead, it was because it made us SO sore! The day after Day 2’s workout, our abs and upper thighs were beat. I do not remember the last time my obliques have been that sore, if ever. It was pretty awesome. As always, my thighs are the first place I’m noticing a change. My quads are definitely feeling firmer and more defined. Yay for noticeable change! My hope is to at least get through this calendar in a somewhat timely manner. School makes me anxious and somewhat depressed so that makes keeping up an exercise regimen difficult, but since I only have like 12 credits (as opposed to like 30!) with quite a few days off towards the 1st half of the semester, I’m hoping I can find the motivation to continue.

Speaking of anxiety, bleh. I start school on Monday and am so ridiculously anxious about this. Starting a new semester makes me anxious in the best of times but this whole joining a new class thing is making that anxiety skyrocket. I sort of, vaguely know a handful of people and my Nicaragua roomie, who used to be in my former class but had a baby so took some time off, is also in the class, so that’s nice. I’m just not good with smalltalk and the whole getting-to-know-you thing. Also, where do I sit?! I’m going to be stuck in unclaimed seats in the front and it’s going to give me migraines and I’ll be in the front which is scary. It’s all so stupid, but it still freaks me out.

All this anxiety is resulting at me looking at too-expensive footwear online. I really don’t need more shoes. Nor do I need to spend the money. Stressss shoppppppingggggggg!!!!!!

But I did make an appointment for a hair cut for tomorrow! Feeling well-groomed helps with my social anxiety. I rather like the length of my hair, especially when I actually style it, but I’ve got so many wispy bits that really contrast with my regrowth. It is so exciting seeing my hair grow back, though, even if it does like to stick up and make me look silly :)
