We have been ringing around looking for a gardener/landscaper to attack our weed infested backyard. It is only just November and the majority have said they can't do anything until after Xmas. Really? It's not as though we have a huge plot of land or want extensive work done. We just want our curved edges made straight, a border so cutting the grass is easier and all the weeds ripped out and 2 trees taken out. Bob organised 2 companies to come give a quote, one on a day he knows I have to stay at work late for. He reckoned he's able to tell them what we want done but in reality, he won't as we can't agree in the first place! I think we'll have a discussion tomorrow about it...can hardly wait! The next thing my fingers are crossed for is on Monday we find out from head honcho at work what the future is for our Community Health Team. Originally Older Person's Health was meant to be moving to another hospital which is being upgraded majorly. This hospital is4 min walk from home so I was pretty excited about that. Then we found out that the Health Board had forgotten the Community teams so we weren't included in the plans. Hmpf! Then there was confusion as to what teams would go with who. Psych services wanted to stay with the hospital and then our community team wanted to spilt up to locality (North and South). Younger person's team want to stay on their own, away from all of us. On Monday we find out how the health board plans to manage us all and if we will be all together or separated. I don't really care what teams are with us, I want to know where our office will be moved to in 2015 when we have to leave Princess Margaret Hospital. Are we going to the central city health precinct, are we going to Burwood (I wish) or are we going to be split up and spread across the city? We probably won't find this out for another year as this will cost money which I am sure the health board will cry broke for. In an ideal world, psych services will be on their own. It is such a badly managed service and we work with them at present and I swear they are the cause of 99% of our stress. They are being managed so poorly that a huge audit is under way to try and fix it but I reckon the only way is to change managers and make people actually do their job. The last fingers crossed issue is my daughters primary school which is having to be merged with another school. On Monday we have a consultation meeting with the principal and board of trustees to get our opinions on how to manage one school on 2 different sites. They will have to start and finish at different times and then there is the issue of what children go where. It will be nice to finally start having answers, school finishes in 5 and half weeks! I hope the senior kids stay at Windsor site as it will be a building site until 2015 and you don't really want 5-7yr olds around that. Lots of things coming up but fingers crossed we have answers by this time next week.
