Nostalgic and Hollow in A Ways Away

You know.. I guess that I understand by now, that life was never meant to be easy or a breeze, but I sure do remember the times that my naivety and ignorance made it that way. With age, there’s often no real excuse to be completely ignorant. We learn things from observing, listening and experiencing. Some of those experiences aren’t all that great and we end up building walls around ourselves as a result. My walls are constantly crumbling because I want to be nice, but once I’m chipped, I reinforce those walls.

I think that I need to find something to do. Maybe learn to strengthen my singing voice again and learn to read music notes. Whatever I do, it’ll bring back that nostalgia that I wish would make me warm again, but at my age, it won’t feel the same.

I can’t escape.
