Just Another Monday in Bring Some Dominoes

That morning overcast persisted into today.  Temperatures in the area are supposed to be in the high 70's or maybe low 80's for much of the week.  I'm even hearing that The Fourth of July could actually feature rain.  I imagine that rain could dampen many of the plans that people had put together weeks, if not months, earlier.  I don't do much on The Fourth of July as it is, so the weather won't bother me if it happens to be rainy outside.  Rain in July, in these parts, is unheard of.

The weather doesn't appear to be bothering the local wildlife in the area.  For the past few days, such a sight is not unusual.  I've seen as many as four rabbits around the house at one time.  The rabbit in that picture was not far from the driveway when I got home for lunch.  It ran seconds after I took that picture.  I also tend to see at least two squirrels towards the back of the house at seemingly all hours of the day.  I haven't seen any in the area for a few months now, but every now and then, I'll smell a skunk in the middle of the night.  Let me tell you.  That smell lingers, sometimes to the point where it can disrupt my sleep.  I already wake up early as hell, so the last thing I need is my sleep interrupted, especially by whatever the hell skunks are doing outside.  Every so often, I'll also see coyotes in the area.  I don't have any pictures of those though.  It has been a few months since I've seen a coyote.

I left work early again today, which is pretty much normal for me on Monday.  Morie, my supervisor, is off on Mondays, which for me, means that I get to leave early if I so choose.  Most Mondays I choose to leave early and just work from home.  Many of the people in my office irritate me, which Morie is well aware of, so I don't think she'll mind if I pretty much work a half day most Mondays.  At least when I'm working from home, there's no one there to bother me with their stupidity and I can get things done without the nuisance.  Come tomorrow though, I'll be in the office for pretty much the entire day.

I've been doing my best to supportive of her and it is my intent to be there for her, for whatever she might need.  I know that she's been going through some things in her life, things that I imagine are probably occupying her mind more than she would like.  Whatever it is she might be going through, I'm going to be there for her.  I have insisted to her that it is not my intent or desire to pry any information from her and I definitely do not want to cross that boundary.  I'll just have to wait for her to tell me what's been plaguing her, though I think it'll help me to also maintain the mentality that she may never tell me and that's okay too.  I can only control my actions and the way that I respond to things.  Everything else is really out of my hands.

I don't have any new information regarding the whole Grand Theft Auto VI mess.  My pre-order at Best Buy remains intact.  I still want the game, even though I'm not dying to play it.

Cooler temperatures and possible rain.  Local wildlife.  Being the support that she strongly needs right now.  Grand Theft Auto VI.

That's my life right now in late June 2026.  July is on the horizon.
