Don't Feed Water To a Hurricane in Bring Some Dominoes

You don't.  You just don't.

Throughout the course of my brief travels today, I happened to drive by one of the many local ARCO gas stations and I am convinced that parked right next to one of the pumps there was a white Lamborghini Huracan.  No, I did not take a pic.  Maybe I should have, but I didn't.  Missed opportunity, I know.

I was at a red light at the time and the ARCO was directly in front of me as I was looking to turn left and continue on my way.  I only had a few seconds to take in the scene in front of me before my light turned green and I had to make that left turn or risk upsetting the many motorists who waiting patiently behind me.

I didn't see that there was a gas pump connected to that Huracan.  No one was standing near the car.  Maybe the driver was inside the adjacent AM/PM store?  I could not say.  As I said, I didn't have much time to take in the entire scene.  I was pressed for time.

I absolutely love Lamborghinis, especially the Countach and Diablo models.  I also know my financial limitations and I know for a fact that I will never ever own one.  The Hot Wheels versions of the Lamborghini, yes, all day, but as for the real thing, that will never happen and I have since come to grips with this.

Anyway, I'm getting away from my original point.

Now, I know that I've used gasoline from ARCO many times in the past, mostly out of necessity, because it really isn't that expensive.  From what my mechanic has told me through the years, the quality of gasoline there is substandard and not really the kind of thing you want to be putting in any vehicle you value and want to last you.  That's pretty much what he told me some years ago when he replaced the engine in my Honda Accord.  After he completed said engine replacement, he encouraged me to start using a higher quality of gasoline.  I've been putting Chevron in the Honda ever since, per his recommendation.  Yes, it's a little more expensive than the kind of gasoline that ARCO offers, but I will not stray from Chevron, no matter how expensive that stuff gets.  Even when a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was running $6.29 a gallon, just weeks ago, I still didn't bat an eye.  The Honda continues to thank me by running as great as it still does.

Back to the Lamborghini...

Now, if I'm driving any model of Lamborghini, newer, older, or anything in the middle, I'll be damned if I'm putting any variety of ARCO gasoline in it.  If I'm driving a Lamborghini, I'm going to assume that I have money.  If I have money, I can readily afford Chevron or even rocket fuel, but I would never put cheap gas in any Lamborghini that I might own, in whatever alternate universe that may be.

Although it is rare, through the years, I have seen the occasional Lamborghini here and there in the neighborhood.  I've never seen one parked at any ARCO gas station though like I did today, and for the love of exotic Italian super cars, I hope I never see another one parked there ever again.

That has to be some form of vandalism, putting ARCO gasoline in any type of exotic car.
