Gosh. Two days ago I was as angry as a very angry toad, who'd lost his favourite hat in a sudden gust of wind, tripped on his boot lace, tumbled into nettles, then found the kindly shadow that rushed to his aid was infact, an on-duty Jaunty Hat Reinforcement Officer who'd come to issue a fine to Mr Toady for not having the appropriate headwear. Sheesh.
Then yesterday I woke up as calm as a tiny pebble slowly rolling back and forth on a gently lapping shore.
Is that a good analogy? I'm not sure now that I see it written down! The pebble might be dizzy from all the rolling and just want a nice little lay down in the sun.
Anyway nothing changed in the world between angry time and happy time, I just finally had some decent sleep.
We have a family meeting tonight, and I think I'm going to be too laid back for everyone's liking. Sorry guys, warrior mode is recharging.
And I have a head cold. I think I picked it up in A&E, a little souvenir of the week. Maybe the germs have subdued me.
Anyway, it’s nice to be present and calm again 🕊️
UPDATE: 🥺 Warrior mode was reactivated too soon and it blew a fuse. Hate all this tension, it's like playing an endless game of chess. All I want is for the family to work together to do what is genuinely best for my Dad. No selfishness. No one-up-man-ship. Else we all lose.
