Temperatures in Southern California were definitely elevated this weekend. This previous week may have spoiled us, even if briefly, with temperatures last week typically remaining under 80 degrees. Today and even into the coming week, the region is expecting temperatures to be within the mid to high 80's. We shall see, but I'm not optimistic. Might be about that time to get that air conditioning unit running again. That'll remedy the situation, though that also means that I can expect potentially exorbitant electricity prices again. Indeed, it is that time of year. I'm ready.
Once again, I didn't do much this weekend. I worked both days. I relaxed a little. This morning, I spent some time at the local Target, which I've been known to do from time to time. I needed to pick up some PlayStation Network currency, so that I can take advantage of Sony's current Days of Play sale. Could pick up another controller (which I do not need, but some of those controllers come in really pretty colors), maybe a game or two, and I'll need to renew my PlayStation Plus. It's all about priorities. That's the life of a gamer, I suppose.
Today, I fired up my Xbox Series X for the first time in months. I don't think it's been a year yet, but I also think that I might be pretty close to 12 months since i last played anything on it. The last game I played on it was Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Speaking of "6", Forza Horizon 6 came out recently and I wanted to, at least, install the game so that when I'm actually ready and wanting to play the game, it'll be there waiting for me. As of this writing, the game is still installing and that's with a hard-wired connection. I started the installation about an hour ago. Good thing I'm not in any hurry to play this game. Still, I'm guessing that Forza Horizon 6 is a huge game.
I've been meaning to get back into gaming, if not actually playing games, then doing some console modifications, and refining my retro gaming setup. Indeed, I have quite the backlog, for both playing games, as well as working on my gaming setups. I'll get to those projects and return to playing games at some point. Maybe I'll get some stuff done this summer, when hopefully, work slows down and I'll have some free time? I hope.
My Sunday night is winding down. I'll be headed to bed in just over two hours and when I wake up in the morning, it'll be back to work and otherwise business as usual.
As is my normal, my life remains bland and mundane. Being a gamer can only be so exciting. Work is hardly anything to speak of either.
Ho hum, I guess.
