Don’t you love to lay about
and stare into the skies
puffy clouds are up afloat
then count the butterflies
Remember all the wonders
and joys that make your life
know each breath’s a blessing
and life is free of strife
When it rains, it’s always warm
it nourishes the trees
cleansing of our mother earth
flowers bloom to feed the bees
Squirrels run by, birds sing sweet
and love is in the air
nothing but the warming sun
and life without a care
Poems like these are oh so sweet
yet give me quite a fit
for if you know me in the least
it’s all a pile of shit
