Slow Day in Bring Some Dominoes

I spent less than a half hour at the doctor today.  Nurse practitioner visit, if we're going to be technical.  I came in to have my blood pressure read.  That was the only thing that happened.  Guess I couldn't just phone this one in.

127/76.

The nurse practitioner was not worried.  She said that my blood pressure reading was normal.  I didn't challenge it.  I'm going to assume that I'm okay.  I don't feel sick or lightheaded.  I headed back to work afterwards and went about my work day.  Life went on without incident.

Work was work.  Nothing too taxing.  I managed to stay busy and get some things done.  It also helped that the air conditioning in the office worked for the entire day.  The temperature at my cubicle hovered in the low 70's, which is always appreciated when the temperature outside in the mid to high 90's.

I think temperatures outside reached 100 degrees even, at least, that's what the phone said.  I figured it was accurate.  For mid-May, it was hot as hell outside and it was definitely uncomfortable.  The forecasted high for tomorrow is 83.  I'll take it.  In these parts of Southern California, anything under 100 degrees is always welcome and appreciated.  We know that things can always be hotter here, especially around this time of year.

I thought I had more substance lined up for this entry, but as it turns out, I don't.

Blood pressure.  Work stuff.  The damn heat outside.

That's all I have.

Maybe I come back tonight or even tomorrow with something more substantial?

I make no guarantees.

I'm not even counting on it.
