I’m surrounded by dogs and full of Thai food. Much cozy and much full :)

I think I’ve started 2015 off pretty well.

I’ve done a bit of cleaning and laundry. Not a lot, but enough to make myself feel like I did a bit.

I was social! Aaron and I went to dinner at a local sushi place with Renee last night and it was good to catch up.

I’ve also started reading Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman, a book of short stories by Haruki Murakami. I’ve heard wonderful things about his writing on numerous occasions so I decided to give him a go. So far, I’m really enjoying it. The stories leave me both wanting to know more (as I feel most good short stories should), mildly perplexed, and slightly unsettled, but in a good way. The stories are like odd fairy tales, though they don’t all necessarily have a magical quality to them. Plus it makes me feel like I’m ready actual quality literature. Yay for sort of feeling cultured ha!

And yesterday, Aaron and I started a new workout program. Uff. It’s a beginner’s workout calendar through Blogilates and it is kicking my abs! It’s nice because it’s mostly shorter workouts and they’re video-based with the instructor doing a lot of talking and encouragement, which is a good distraction. Plus, there’s not a lot of repetition with the videos, so there’s less likelihood of boredom. I do not remember the last time my abs were this sore from a workout, so that’s pretty awesome. So far I recommend it since it seems to actually be doing something, but we’ll see if Aaron and I can complete the whole calendar (with as many break days as we want :P). If it sounds interesting, it can be found here: http://www.blogilates.com/blog/2014/12/30/new-beginners-calendar-2-0-for-2015/

I’m also thinking of doing the 101 goals in 1001 days thingy through Day Zero. Mostly because I like check lists. We’ll see :)

Sticky rice is delicious. Mmmm…
