I mooned the New York in New Chapters

Oh New York. Several years ago I visited you and I loved you! I could have seen myself living with you. Now, not so much. Now it's the weed.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind weed. I haven't partaken in it myself in years but I really don't mind. You get 7 or 8 people standing around smoking, it's all good. You get 37000 all smoking it and suddenly all I could smell was dank weed and pee.

I'm so grateful that I had to the opportunity to visit but I admit I was let down. Times Square was still Time's Square but somehow it seemed somewhat less. Greenwich Village was nice, Chelsea was okay. I'm grateful that I went but I don't want to go back again. I've had enough of the city I think.

Fishkill was beautiful though! Storm King in Beacon was amazing! A huge shout out to Barbara! She was the best and took us to places we wouldn't have been able to get to otherwise. The hotel! Can someone tell me how the Quality Inn in Fishkill was nicer than the Hyatt in Chelsea? The mountains with the steam coming off of them was glorious. The small town feeling was homey though I'm sure there's some teenagers who live there who can't wait to get out. I thought it was beautiful.

The Thrifty Car Rental in Jersey was quite the debacle. Mary, I don't think you know what you're doing. I feel horrible for you, you seemed so nice but the others seemed to think you were inept too. That and you threw us under the bus by saying, I tried to tell them that, when you hadn't told us that at all. I get it though. You were probably just trying to save your own job.

Driving out of Jersey was insane. Driving back into Jersey to return the car was insane. We made it though praise be to God for that.

The homeless in the city are getting to be quite boujee. I say that jokingly, it was only the one guy and I'm sure that he probably had mental health problems. We'd purchased him a couple of slices of pizza. We took it to him but he turned it down because we wouldn't buy him a soda to go along with it.

We met Michael Cudlitz as he was on the way to the theater. That was quite a treat.

New Yorkers have a bad reputation of being rude. I don't think so. I think they're all in a hurry to get to where they're going and they don't have time to fool around but when they see someone in need they step up to help. It's a great city for that.

It's just too bad that it smells so bad now. Again, nothing against weed smokers but it was a lot.

I'm still grateful for the opportunity to go.

When we returned our babies were so happy to see us. Even my boy Frank, who never sits fully on my lap instead just sits on the couch with his front paws on me, came to sit fully on my lap. It's good to be loved.

We came home though and immediately got sick. Was it New York or was it that we'd gotten away for a few days, our lungs cleared up from the crud and now we have to get used to it again? Either way, we're both sick.

On the plus side though, I still have plenty of Lindt left. $53 for bags of chocolate for myself, my sister-in-law and a gift to our neighbor for watching our babies while we were gone wasn't a bad price. That and the flirty hot dog vendor just up the street from there made us both laugh too. Thanks to you!
