In the yarn store parking lot, I heard someone talking about Silver Sneakers, and I took this as a sign to go to the Y and sign up. My kids and I used to go there about 20 years ago, but at first I didn’t remember it at all. The outdoor pool isn’t filled yet, but then I remembered how inviting it was, but can a random old person go there (once there is water in it) and just sort of bobble around without the excuse of having a child to watch? Laps wouldn’t be possible, I’m sure, because of so many children and because of the boringness of laps.
The actual Silver Sneakers classes seem to be meant for people in bad physical condition, but, hey, that might be me. The weight-machine room (or whatever you call it) still seemed kind of claustrophobic, but the indoor pool was enticing.
I finished my mug rugs. I’m going to do some more with different colors and two heddles (for the rigid heddle loom). I plan to ask a former co-worker for advice about rolled hems on the sewing machine.
I’m going to warp up the loom and watch me some Forged in Fire.
