Here’s to the end of the shittiest year!
My plans for tonight involve hanging out with Aaron at home and being lazy. We were invited to a party but it starts at 9. We’re both old and curmudgeonly at heart, so that’s just too late. Plus, it’s cold, there will be drunk people at the party, Aaron works tomorrow, and we don’t want to be on the road with drunk people. I just want to cuddle with Aaron and the critters, watch whatever silly show we’re watching, and forget that midnight has any significance until after the fact. Should be a nice, relaxing evening :)
I’ll be social tomorrow. Renee and I have plans for maybe dinner and, if Sarah gets done with her rotation day on time, she may join us too. It’ll be nice as I haven’t seen either of them in quite some time.
My family visit thingy I was displeased about in the last entry went quite well. The uncle I don’t like was disorganized, so aunt got fed up and just headed out with the kiddos so she’d get into town at a reasonable time. As a result, we didn’t have to see him, so meeting with them was much more pleasant! Instead of them coming here, we went to a local, favorite, Lebanese restaurant, so we got some good food out of the deal. And it was a fairly short get together, which was a relief as most gatherings involving my dad’s side of the family go on for hours and hours as everyone tries to out talk one another. Again, it was good my dad’s brother wasn’t there! Plus, it made Annie happy, which is what matters most of all.
I’ve been eying my desk for the past couple days. It is a frightening mess and it would nice to get it semi-cleared off for when school starts. Maybe I’ll put in a few minutes today just to get the ball rolling. I also want to start going through clothes and other stuff to put in storage. Or maybe I’ll continue to be lazy :)
