I was actually going to explain my encounter with literally the nastiest, meanest, most psychotic woman I have ever met (not involving work, maybe I will explain the situation in a separate entry) but instead I have two things to say.
Cori’s younger brother came in late on Christmas and is here through most of Friday ! I feel so nice to meet his brother since I will basically never meet the rest of his family. He’s very friendly and talkative and has a good sense of humor, and it’s amusing for me to see the two of them interact (they haven’t seen each other since June 2010).
And second, my manager Rachel at Sephora called me this morning to set up a permanent position interview !!! So even though I really need to still look for a second job, I’ll continue to be employed !! Granted it’s still not official but really… They already know me and the interview is just a formality. They’re not going to suddenly be like, “Wait, this girl isn’t who she says she is !” So at least I will have a tiny bit of extra income (not much at all, but a little) and still be employed, so that was the best Christmas present.
Cori and I had a calm and quiet Christmas. No gifts, just time together making dinner all day. It was lovely, and being able to pick up Zane later in the day was good so we had time to get dinner ready. I made the most DELICIOUS ham ever ! Couldn’t even tell it was my first time cooking one. We also made an INCREDIBLE broccoli casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, 3 pies (LOL), cookies, fudge, cranberry sauce, and homemade rolls. It was a lovely time. I will admit that enjoying Christmas without gifts makes it a wholly different experience.
