Today, right now, my sweetie is on his first job interview since his by-pass surgery in August. It’s not much but it’s an easier job that will not involve physical stresses and the pay is pretty decent. There is also benefits included in this job which, for us, is a HUGE bonus! I have my fingers crossed that he will do ok and will be able to keep this job. He’s still got some pretty impressive issues with his memory. The cardiac doctors say it’s normal but when your out in the work force they expect you to remember things. I hope he can hold down this job.
I also send off a resume to this place of employment. I know full well that I can’t work yet but I wanted my name on someone’s desk in recruiting. I do think that once I am able to apply I may re-apply there. I’ve got the experience to apply for a manager position which they have up and advertised at the moment. It says it pays up to 35K per year. It would be almost what I was making when I left my previous job. We’ll see. I can’t work until I get a few more documents in place. I should be all set by March 1
Today we’re also going to go and see more little gas powered scooters. With the prospect of him working outside of the house that will leave me with no car. Most of the time this is fine but I wanted something to use in case I wanted to go to the store or library. The places close where I won’t need a car to get to but are too far to carry things back from. We went to one place yesterday and while the guy was super friendly and quite nice the scooters were used and in some cases in pretty bad shape for the price he was asking. My sweetie does not want me to buy used off Craigslist. So it’s off to the main stream stores we go.
