general philosophy is divided into the following sections (1) introduction to the typology (see link below), (2) introductions to all the main doctrines/ branches of philosophy are posted, sub-categories also have introductions to give the reader an overview of that field before delving into the specifics as per all related entries, (3) philosophers are presented as individual entries but there's also a philosopher pull down menu listed according to the era they were/are active in. note that not all philosophers were/ are associated with one grand school of thought, some philosophy would have been involved with varied fields, others have been teachers/ professors in the field, or contributors to a field, (4) meta-philosophy or 'the philosophy of philosophy' though sometimes considered an aspect of metaphysics, is recognised here as a separate entity and therefore included in her general philosophy, (5) philosophical definitions and analyses - brief explanations of varied terms and other elements used in any aspect of the discipline, (6) philosophical schools - brief entries explaining varied schools of thought.
