author: Hari Kunzru
This strange book is about a young man from India - fathered by an Englishman. He goes through his life transforming himself when he goes through traumatic experiences.
The writing is spotty - the author is wonderful with descriptions of time and place, cultures and mores… NOT as much when describing characters and what they do and WHY.
I cannot recommend this book.
