I wrote this on Monday…when OD was down:

Monday morning. OD has been down all weekend. Not that I would have written an entry or anything, but I do like to get a fix of my faves pretty much every time I log on. I hope everything’s up and running soon. Until then, I’ll just write this entry and post it later.

Weekend was okay. I actually took half of Friday off to play in a charity golf tournament. This was the second year in a row that I’ve played in this tournament, and the funny thing about it is the fact that I don’t play golf!! I seriously need to take a couple of lessons, because I think I could actually play pretty well if I could get my swing figured out and the clubs and all that!!

So yeah, our team was pretty much a joke! It consisted of me and two of my co-workers (very silly—very fun!), two vendor reps (who sponsor us), and a celebrity (because it is a celebrity tournament). This year, one of the reps was nice enough to call the tournament chairperson to make sure our celebrity wasn’t seriously interested in winning!! Because a lot of the guys out there are in it to win!! And who can blame them? Scattered across the golf course in various places were fancy sports cars and other luxury items that could be won with a hole-in-one or best hole or lowest score, etc..

Now. Our celebrity…a gorgeous 3rd-string Quarterback for an NFL team! Yum. He was so incredibly handsome, that I was completely tongue-tied. I really wish I hadn’t been. It was so obvious that he was used to that type of “ga-ga”. He was pretty much a cocky bastard. I mean, he was borderline assholish and unsociable for the most part, but oh well…..let’s just say that there was plenty of eye candy as we played that course! And I suppose that I could have tried harder to befriend him, but…well I guess I was too busy drooling over those muscular legs. Ohh lala!! Pathetic, I know. But fun nonetheless!

My two co-workers, Lee and Steph were pretty much a crack-up! Lee is hilarious! I guess you could say I have kind of a girl-crush on her. She’s successful and beautiful and has just gone through a pretty messy divorce with more grace and strength than I can even imagine. I admire her and feel sorry for her and crave her friendship and acceptance all at once.

Steph, well…she’s Steph. A goofball of a brunette. Voluptuous and sexy. ALL the guys are crazy…head over heels crazy for her. Really until she opens her mouth. She is loud and obnoxious. And I am jealous of her because all the guys go crazy for her. Most guys do not care about the stuff that comes out of her mouth. Some do….most don’t. Damn, I shouldn’t be jealous, but I can’t help it.

The other guys, the reps….honestly, I don’t really know too much about them. I don’t even work with them, Lee and Steph do. They’ve just invited me for two years in a row, and I’ve accepted. They are nice guys, but nothing really more. Nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve always been much more interested in the girls and whichever celebrity is playing on our team and how much beer we can drink and where the next potty is.

So once the game was done this year, our assholish, yet stunningly gorgeous celebrity just split. The kicker of all the asshole moves. He didn’t even say “goodbye”, “hasta la vista”, “kiss my hiney” …nothing. Fine. Whatever. We didn’t want to eat brisket and blueberry cobbler with your ass anyway.

After the picnic, I was feeling woozy. I wonder why. We added it up…..we (five of us–Mr. Quarterback did not imbibe) drank THREE CASES of beer during our golf game! That is unreal! I don’t even hardly drink anymore!! I guess beer just goes down easier on a golf course!

I went home and crashed. Something like what I’m going to do right now.

Goodnight!!
