Occurs to me that I need to write an entry. I had started one at work that I intended to finish and post, but accidentally left the frickin document on my computer at work! I will try to post that one tomorrow. Well, well see I do have my review and all tomorrow. I have a feeling that tomorrow will be a nerve-wracker to say the least!!!
Weekend was pretty nice if I do say so myself! My dads brother (and his wife) and sister were visiting them, and since I live a mere hour away, I thought Id go say hello. It was a nice, quick visit for me. But it was a pleasant change. The last three or four times that Id seen them were sad, solemn occasions (funerals, illnesses, etc.), and this time it was mostly smiles and good news and laughs.
We all went to a giant flea market and had a fantastic time! Well, I think I may have had the best time! Im the one who hauled loot home! Oh yeah, and my uncle wheeled and dealed for a hat! Funny!
We ate very well. Dad grilled gigantic steaks. Good old-fashioned summertime fare. Kind of comforting. I guess we kept a lot of things on the superficial side, but I think that was good. Like I said, the last time we were all together, a lot of tears were shed. It was a welcome change.
I drove home fairly early last night, but I was trying to avoid the major thunderstorms that were sweeping through the area. Good thing I stopped at the auto parts store to let that gorgeous hunk of an auto parts store manager set me up! He was sooooo sweet and gave me all this extra stuff for my windshield and changed the wipers and everything! I certainly put his extra efforts to good use as I was driving home!! Very nice of him!
The major part of the storm hit around 2 am. It completely woke me up out of a sound sleep. I thought a tornado might be coming and thought about where I would go if it did hit, but I guess the rain drumming against the window lulled me back to sleep! Obviously, I wasnt that concerned!!
Slept in. Aaaaahhh!! Heaven!
Went to brunch with my bestest girlfriend and her husband and several other buddies. Best GF and hubby had a day-long layover here in town (they live about a four hour drive away). They were on their way back from Mexico where they celebrated their one-year anniversary. Lovely. Such a sweet couple. But she most certainly wears the pants! Sometimes I just laugh. We did a little shopping and then met up with some other friends for afternoon refreshments on the patio of a little pub.
That was pretty much my day today!!
I meant to do laundry, but got sidetracked. Distracted is more like it. Ive spent the last hour and a half trying to write this entry and talk to LDL on IM (in case youre wondering why this entry seems a little disjointed and probably really boring!!).
So on that note, its time to snuggle down into bed for another lonely nights sleep.
