My Interest is Waning in Open Diary 2001-2018 (Pre-Prosebox)

So nice to be relaxing around the apartment today after this last week….especially since I didn’t really have a weekend last week. I’m tired and burning myself out at work. Sales meeting here this week. All the salespeople were in from all over the country. That means lots of meetings and then drunken dinners afterwards. Then Crazy Tony and Maria on Thursday night. Oh so exhausted after that ordeal.

I think Maria has decided that I’m one of her best friends now. She’s decided that I need to travel with her on business trips. She’s invited me to do a lot of things with her and that’s great and all…but I don’t know how politically correct that is. She’s the head of the US branch of a gigantic Asian manufacturing company. She’s a nut, but a very powerful nut. I have a hard time saying no to her. Especially since she’s one of the reasons I have my job now. I do like going out with her and all. I really do. But I have a feeling it can and just might get me in trouble. Stay tuned.

The saga of Max continues. I saw him again the day after I wrote that “serendipity” entry. I was about a half hour late for work and as I was driving to the office, I saw him (in running shorts…again) on his way to the park by my office. He’s sent me a few e-mails and actually called a couple of times. I haven’t returned his calls because I’m getting such a strange vibe about the whole thing…

Especially after waking up this morning and seeing a phone call from him on my mobile phone. It was made at 4:30 this morning! Odd. But there was voicemail. Obviously an accident. I couldn’t make out the whole thing, but I could tell he was with a girl. I think she was playing with his phone and accidentally called me. The voices were kind of muffled, but it sounded like he was explaining to her who I was (a friend of his sister’s?). And something about the fact that it is the only phone he uses. I couldn’t make out anything else. Not sure if I really wanted to anyway.

Well, I better go. I need to run errands and get a new battery for my digital camera. My camera’s on the fritz and I’m hoping it’s just the battery. I’ve already had it fixed once to the tune of $130, but the problem is still there. Now it won’t even power on. If it’s not the battery, I think I’m going to buy another camera. Sucks. But I need a camera. I might charge work for it. We’ll see.

Boring entry, but so’s my life right now.
