Details from the Speed Dater #3 evening (last night):

Name:David

Age: 43

Status: Never been married. Hm. That makes two 43-year-old never-marrieds in one day!

Occupation: Owns law firm with a partner

Length of date: 2 ½ hours

We met: At a cool new restaurant around the corner from both my apartment and his office.

We did: Drank wine at the bar and talked.

Convo: It’s funny. It felt like we both had so much we wanted to tell each other, but seemed like we didn’t have enough time. We talked the usual stuff (family, career, travel, sports, the city), but I was definitely left with the feeling that I wanted to know more about him.

Part of personality I liked: He was curious and inquisitive in a very mellow, down to earth way. He touched me every so often when we talked…a little tap or touch on the arm and a couple times on my knee. It would send just the tiniest jolt of electricity through me.

Part of personality I disliked: I think that’s one reason I want to find out more about him: I couldn’t really find a flaw. I could tell he was the tiniest bit nervous, but I found that very endearing. He’s pretty cool for a lawyer. He’s also chivalrous and gave me a ride home, even though I live two blocks from the place. Found out from his car that he has a big dog (mmmm…another big dog guy, eh?)

Part of appearance I liked: Dark features. Absolutely adorable dimples! Cool glasses. At one point he took his glasses off and looked like a completely different person…equally as attractive, but surprisingly different.

Part of appearance I disliked: Really deep frown line right in the middle of his brow. Really, really, really thick eyebrows. I wanted to pull out some tweezers right then and there!

Highest Point: Anytime he smiled and showed those darling dimples.

Lowest Point: Him calling it an evening. It left me wondering if he was really interested or not.

How it ended: He offered me a ride home (2 blocks) and I accepted. I have no idea if he had even thought about leaning in for a kiss or not because I think I prematurely jumped out of the car. Whoops. Oh well.

Chances I’ll see him again: I think I have about a 60% chance of him asking me out again. I couldn’t read him completely, but I hope he does.
