Make a List. Then Procrastinate. in Open Diary 2001-2018 (Pre-Prosebox)

Mmmm, did I have a deliciously relaxing day yesterday. I got up and went to the gym and then went to the grocery to order my Thanksgiving pre-cooked turkey and ham. Then I napped, napped, and napped some more. I think it was mainly because I was feeling overwhelmed with all the stuff I need to get done in the coming days. Yes, it was nice to nap the afternoon away. But the problem now is, it makes for lots to get done today:

  • Laundry: sheets, towels, bathrobe, bathmats, kitchen mat, anything else that’s stinky, stained, or simply disgusting
  • Likker store: booze for party…if I have to, I can wait until Wednesday to do this…but imagine the crowds! Oh well, I have to go to the grocery store that day too. I guess I’ll just be gritting my teeth and bearing it. I think I’ve decided to be very simple: beer, wine, rum for the wassail, maybe some vodka.
  • Scrub Bathroom and Kitchen: can you tell I’ve been putting this off until the very last minute?
  • Mirror Collage: I was supposed to do this in the bedroom. Not sure if I have enough mirrors yet. I need to go out to the car and get a few more out of the back and lay out the design I want. If this doesn’t get done before the party, it won’t break my heart. Still, it would be nice.
  • Other Stuff on Walls: still have the remaining few things to hang.
  • The Junk: I have a couple of bags full of miscellaneous stuff that I need to go through and either toss or store someplace out of the way.
  • Recipes: for stuff that I want to make for the party. I think I’m keeping this very, very simple. But I want to find a quick and easy wassail recipe at the very least.
  • Tomorrow’s Presentation: don’t forget I have a presentation to my teams tomorrow that I never had time to do during the week. It won’t be too hard to get myself prepared, but it involves some homework.
  • Video: I have a video that I need to create for our sales meeting on December 8. If I’m traveling most of that week, it means I need to have it done by December 2nd. When am I going to do this?

Okay. Calm down. Let’s just take these things step by step, shall we? First things first, I need to put the laundry in and then run out to my car (it’s about 20 degrees and hurricane force winds here people) and get the stuff that’s sitting in back.

    I need coffee first.

Been playing on the net too much.
