Its almost time!
I cant believe that Thanksgiving is two days away! Im getting so terribly excited to have my parents, Best Bud and her hub, Dr. P, and everyone else over for holiday cheer!
My apartments really as ready as its gonna get so I guess Ill give you the guided tour Ive been threatening you with for a while now.
First of all, I am in love with this old building. She was built in 1928. Shes getting up there and has her aches and pains. I know there are lots of things that need to be fixed if I ever do decide to stay here on a permanent basis. But she has such charm and personality.
The first thing you notice when you walk in the front door is, of course, the entryway. The elevators down the hall and to the left where that little sign is. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesnt.
If the elevators in a good mood, take it to the top floor and youll get to my front door. Don’t you love the almost casino-like carpeting? I think it looks like an old hotel.
When you walk in the front door, the first thing youll see is the living room. Can you see the smooshed part in the couch where the kitty sleeps? It on the upper left backrest cushion. I dont know why. He just loves that spot.
The photos in the frames are all old pictures of my moms and dads families. There are photos of my grandparents and great grandparents. I think the cutest one is one of my grandmother:
More to come, but I gotta go to work!
