Name: Brian

Age: 28 (though he was quick to tell me that he’s almost 29!)

Relationship Status: So single that it didn’t even make him feel like an ass to leave his date in favor of coming home with me.

Occupation: Pharmaceutical sales

Length of date: All night Sat. night and until after breakfast on Sunday

We met: Well, we originally met at that football watching party. The one where I made out with that guy (not this guy, that guy). He’s a friend of Jen’s pseudo-boyfriend, and though I thought he was attractive at the time, I had NO idea it would turn out like this!!! Anyway, we met again at Jen 1’s surprise 30th birthday party on Sat. nite. He walked up to me at some point to flirt like a dog almost blatantly in front of his date (denying all the time that he was even ON a date).

I wore: Jeans, off-the-shoulder sheer top, tall, black, pointy boots

He wore: All I really remember are the jeans (nice) and his holiday-themed boxers

We did: IT at my place. Okay, before that, we hung out at Jen’s party where he ended up almost clinging to me (as my ego blew up like a giant balloon) and I tried to figure out what was going on. Finally, I just said fuck it and took him home where I opened a bottle of wine, put on some music, and seduced him (okay, not too much seducing needed). In the morning, we went for a great breakfast and walked around the market before I had to take him home to go mess with some fantasy football shit.

Convo: Pure, blatant flirting.

Part of personality I liked: He’s freaking hilarious.

Part of personality I disliked: Don’t know if this is considered personality or moral values, but the fact that he’d ditch the girl he came to the party with. It really wasn’t an “official” date, but they were there together, he told me that they are simply good friends, but that she likes him more than he likes her. I could tell that it was not such a huge deal (okay, I hope anyway) because she didn’t really react when he went over to her to make sure everything was okay. At that point, another one of her friends had shown up at the party and they looked like they were having fun. I didn’t detect any murderous glances in my direction, but then again, I was trying not to look her in the eye from across the room.

Part of appearance I liked: Tall, dark, and yes, handsome in a boyish way.

Part of appearance I disliked: Pretty damn thin. Not painfully, but damn.

Highest Point: Eating up the complements.

Lowest Point: Wondering what I’d just done after I dropped him off.

How it ended: Drove him to his place. Before he got out of my car he looked at his phone. Some girl (not his sort-of date, but someone else) had called him a dozen times in stalker fashion the night before. He must’ve silenced his phone. He shook his head and showed me. Then he asked for my number. I gave it to him and he mentioned something about meeting up again. I kind of nodded and he left.

Chances I’ll see him again: Pretty good if Jen keeps hanging out with her pseudo-boyfriend and I keep hanging out with Jen. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. And I have NO idea where my dating karma stands right now. I have no idea how I feel about this whole thing. I just know that it was really quite fun and I just needed a night like that.

*Thanks to [Parliament] who gave me the idea to write this entry after I spilled my guts to him on Sunday afternoon.
