I’m on a business trip….and it’s ccccoooollllddd *shaking and shivering*
We (Boss and I) got in about three hours late because our first flight was canceled (argh!), second flight was standby and we weren’t going to make it on that one, and our third flight was late. But I was able to sweet talk Waddy (yes, that was the name of the gate agent!) into upgrading boss and me. Major brownie points for moi….and Monsieur Waddy! Our pilots joked with me about the blustery WIND that was causing all flights to be delayed (any guesses?!), and the flight attendant gave me extra giant glasses of champagne!
It’s the little things with me. It really is.
A very, VERY classic moment happened while Boss and I were sitting at the gate waiting for our flight. People watching in airports is such a wonderful pastime, and a woman walking by did NOT disappoint: picture if you will, a woman completely dressed in a kind of a khaki brown color (camel-colored sweater, camel-colored shoes, camel-colored super-duper tight pants, major, major, MAJOR camel TOE!!!). Oh poor thing. I think you had to be there. It would have made the BEST photo, but I was slow on the draw.
We’re staying in a really hip hotel in a sweet location. When it gets light I’m sure my view is spec-freaking-tacular. I’ll try to snap pix today to post later.
I need to get up and get ready to work out. Grumble. I do NOT want to go, but I really have to . I haven’t been feelin’ it for the old workouts lately, and it’s so easy to let myself get out of the swing of things in favor of staying curled up in the warmth of the down comforter. And yes, this bed is delicious!! But my butt is mocking me as I type this.
In an effort to shut it up, I’m going now.
