You asked for it! Im sending you more than too many photos from our Magical, Mysterious German Christmas Vacation! If you still have no clue what this is all about, scroll back a few entries (four flippin entries. I hope thats enough to explain whats happening here). So without even more ado, here goes:
Here we are, TFMS and I, on the way to the airport. Would you have any idea that Im frightened and terribly stressed?
At the airport with our dozens of bags
Checking in. Everything okay?
Wow! We made it to Amsterdam already? What a time warp. And what interesting pieces of art! Doesnt this remind you of a gigantic wheel of brie? Sticking out its tongue?
We had a lot of time in Amsterdam. So TFMS drank some coffee
While I downed some wine!
Mmmm! Notice that TFMS let me borrow his hat. Sweet! Or should that be dandy?
Yes, lots of time to hang out in Amsterdam. Here we are lounging.
Lounging and freezing! It was really cold in the airport for some reason!
So I decided to borrow TFMSs hat again and play on the computer.
Finally! Time to board the plane to Germany! Dont you just LOVE props?!
Once on the plane, we found we were sitting in the last row very close to the toilet.
Another time warp, and were finally at the X House! Soon (very soon!) after arriving, the kids got to unwrap their gifts. Here is Papa and Step-papa helping Son and Daughter with their new scooters.
And then it was time for bed. But the next day we got to PLAY!! Well, TFMS, Son and me (Daughter was sick)
We got to visit a really cool boat on the river, right next to the apartment where we were staying:
Heres a misty look at the river. This is what it looked like every morning when I was heading out for a run (the picture was taken from inside the apartment where we stayed):
Annnnnnd I LOVE BRATWURST!
And on to the City Center. Perhaps this statue will give you a clue as to which city? Hmmm?
Beautiful cathedral:
Son on scooter!
We are good at taking long arm shots! Oh, and have you also noticed that we LOVE to take pictures of ourselves? Yeah.
A Glockenspiel.
My honey in front of a Christmas tree!
And which part do you suppose youre supposed to rub for luck?
Ahhhhh, the comfort of Starbucks!!
Mmmmm hot chocolate!
Another very pretty area in the city center:
The Future Mr. Snap tells me the story of these Wedding Housesone-room hotels for newlyweds first nights together. Its like an old tradition going back to the times when couples were trying to figure out whos parents house they were going to live in and it was a way to get a way from everyone on that first nightespecially the in-laws! Kinda cool!
Cute street.
Oh JOY! The weiner lady works so hardeven on Christmas Day!!!
Here is our super-fantastic rental car!
And now, I think Ill give you some time to digest those lovelies because I have lots of stuff to do. More on the way
