PIC OF THE DAY!

Prompt today is RAINBOW. I like this truck covered in a rainbow of graffiti color. I took this shot last year in the Marais in Paris.

TODAY…

1. My girlfriends bring me joy, and I’m so thankful I have them in my life.

2. My guy friends make me laugh and keep me on my toes, and I’m lucky to have them in my life.

3. How great to wake up still laughing and reminiscing

4. Thankful for the opportunity to watch the world whiz by while yapping away for a few hours in the car.

5. Thankful to explore a few new neighborhoods and to be welcomed into new homes.

Whoa. I’m tired.

Back from my quickie road trip! I was being so wishy-washy, bluesy, and bluh before Lovely came to pick me up that I almost backed out of the whole trip altogether.

I’m so, so very glad that I went. I can’t even express the healing powers of dear friends and new friends and laughter and cheer.

The guy who hosted us at his house (different from the party location) was so gracious and wonderful. He let four of us take over two of his bedrooms, plus two bathrooms and, well, pretty much the whole place. He is a doll.

Party was at the home of our host’s best friend, and he was fantastically cool as well. Made new friends. Saw old friends. Caught up and discovered new stuff.

By the end of the night I was simply exhausted. Don’t forget, I’d been out alllllllll night on Friday night and didn’t really get any sleep considering Chance was snoring and I tend to freak out when I’m in somebody’s bed for the first time (even if nothing happened!). I could not wait to get back to Host’s house to go to bed, but nobody else wanted to. They wanted to go over to Derrick’s house.

I got sassy and very cranky, but I had to go along because I wasn’t driving.

Went to Derrick’s and I can’t believe I stayed awake, but I did until the bitter, bitter end. Believe me, it was bitter. I stepped in a huge puddle of mud before getting back into the car and hope I haven’t completely ruined a pair of suede boots.

And once we got back to Host’s house, I barely changed out of my clothes before I was in bed and I don’t think I shifted until 10:30 this morning.

I think I had more fun with the morning/afternoon after than the actual party itself because it was a gorgeously beautiful day today and we had sooooooo very much to laugh about today.

Host made us special Malaysian coffees and then we went back to Derrick’s for a special breakfast he’d made for us.

We were spoiled! Gotta love these guys!!

This entry is really boring, I know, but my eyes are drooping and I need to hit the sack because I’m just out of it. OUT!!!

Love, love…delicious love!
