Merry Christmas! Another one come and almost gone. I am back home with the Tan Man, some leftovers, and a little vino. All is right with the world.

Had a great day/night yesterday and today with my family. Mom and Dad and my bro rocked and we had a pretty fun time simply hanging out and being mellow. Seriously, no drama, no excitement, just pure simplicity…easy-going dinners, gift-giving, and conversation. I can’t imagine anything easier.

This afternoon, I did some networking with the daughter of some nabes of my parents. She’s working for a company that is on my wish list of places I’d like to do business with, so that was a nice surprise. We had a great conversation, couple of glasses of wine, and I’m hoping she can get me connected with some others. In return, I’m connecting her with some of my connections. She’s interested in doing some other things as well.

Let’s see. In addition to you lovelies, I heard from (and shared Christmas love with some of) the following today:

Old neighbor who is trying to help me with my job search and wants me to hang out with his family–really sweet, but almost overly welcoming. Still, I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth…

Some random dude from an internet dating site who hasn’t taken any of the hints that I’m not interested.

That stalker guy who met me at my coffee shop and did one of his street musician numbers in the parking lot.

Marco, the hot, hot oral surgeon I met in New Orleans over Labor Day (he also sent me a photo of himself last night…he’s growing a very impressive mustache).

*Evan (another one I met in NOLA), who is making plans to meet me here in January on his way to some boys weekend in a (kinda) nearby city.

Guy I used to work with at old company. We’ve been trying to connect for several weeks now. Not exactly sure what his intentions are.

CC, who is cooking and celebrating today/tonight with his daughters and his mother at his ex-wife’s house. Hm.

K., who creeps me out now that I know he’s slept with my girlfriend.

It’s been a good one. Seriously, I feel such good vibes about the year ahead. December has felt a little bit like a boat that’s turning around. I know I have some waves yet to conquer, but I feel the shift in the movement.

*EDIT* Forgot to mention the most special gift of all: my dad made us all DVDs of our home movies from when I was a tot! So cool! I’m trying to figure out how to rip snippets and put some of them on YouTube to share. Anybody know how to do this?
