Fooo-ey. I dropped out of NoJo after day #3. Bummer. I just haven’t been in the writing mood, I guess.
Plus, I have been getting tons and tons of S.E.X.
So that’s something.
But tonight I come here because I’m having a moral dilemma and I’ve tried to call Best Bud about it but she didn’t pick up, and I can’t call SexyPants because he’s having a business dinner in Alaska right now and probably won’t be done with his evening until I’m long asleep (if I can sleep), so I’ve got to get it out somewhere.
And knowing you guys, you’ll have tons of advice for me (you always do and I’m always so grateful!).
Anyway, I have this friend. This friend who happens to be in my line of work, only on the sales side, not the product development side. In fact, he’s the VP of Sales for this company and he’s trying to get an “in” at my company.
Backtrack several months ago. He used to work for another company that did a TON of business with my current company. He was IN with several people and he actually got me in touch with some high-ups at my company when I was looking for this job.
He helped me get my foot in the door at my company. In a BIG way.
Cut to the present. So, he’s trying to get in with his new company. And he knows I have access to a lot of proprietary information. And he’s now asking me for some intel.
Now, I’ve given him some tidbits here and there, but nothing like what he’s asking for now.
He’s asking me for pricing of his competitors so that he can come in lower and win the business. I have access to alllllllll of the information that he needs. But I just don’t feel comfortable giving him this information….
He’s really, really stroking me and telling me how awesome I am and how great it would be if he could get this business, yada, yada, yada.
I don’t want to give him this info.
How do I gracefully bow out? Especially after I’ve already threw him some bones?
Help? Advice?
I love you more than a million trillion dollars worth of business!!!!!
