Those Summer Niiiiiights! in Open Diary 2001-2018 (Pre-Prosebox)

Well, I seem to be in a bit of a groove with the morning writing.  I’m going to see how long I can keep this up.
 
Still have no internet OR TV at home, and since SexyPants has been traveling all week I’ve been staying at my own place.  Everything I’ve been doing media-wise has been via my iPhone, which isn’t terrible, but it’s very hard to write notes, etc. to my friends here.  I hope you know that I’m reading…especially YOU…you know who you are.  You’re the one(s) who leave(s) the most wonderful, silly, awesome notes.  I’m coming back to you, I promise.  And I am reading regularly again.  I’m here. 
 
I’m lucky that SexyPants set me up with Slingbox.  Do you know of this concept?  Basically, it’s an app that he put on my iPhone that will allow me to watch his TV from anywhere!  I love this thing!!  So even though I don’t have TV at my place, I really do.  I just have to watch it on my iPhone.  It’s pretty great, though.  I can watch my morning news in the bathroom while I’m getting ready.  I can even DVR stuff that I might want to watch later at his place.
 
I woke up late this morning.  Actually, I woke up right on time, but got up and shuffled around and went back to bed with my iPhone in hand, watching the news. 
 
I woke to the cat pouncing on me, telling me to wake the eff up!  My phone’s juice had all run out (Slingbox takes a lot of battery power) and the sun was just blaring down.  UGH.  I hate mornings where I have to jump up and rush.  So mad at myself for lying back down.  My day feels thrown off.
 
SexyPants is flying back today.  He has a few meetings and a business dinner tonight and THEN I get to see my baby!  I’m so looking forward to seeing him.  He’s been gone for 4 days.  I don’t like that anymore.  I just love being with him so much.  We are looking forward to a fun weekend together at his family’s place.  We’re going to a wedding tomorrow night, then a reunion at his sister’s place (her daughter, SexyPant’s niece, is living in Germany while her husband is in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and she’s coming back for a visit-everyone is excited and I’m looking forward to meeting her), then I guess we’ll spend some more time with SP’s mother and step-dad.
 
And you know me.  I gotta figure out what to WEAR?! 
 
For the wedding, I’ve found this really pretty Max & Co. navy strapless dress that is tiered and falls to almost tea length.  I don’t think a description does it justice.  Anyway, I’m going to wear gold shoes and gold jewelry with it.  I test-drove that outfit on Father’s Day, and everyone (SexyPants, my mom, and even two waiters) told me that they thought the dress was gorge!!  Of course, my mom had to tell me to stop pulling at the top.  My boobs are a little too small to hold the strapless top up…but I can remedy that with chicken cutlets, no problem!
 
I have no idea what I’m going to wear to Saturday night’s festivities.  I guess I’m going to have to bring several outfits and then choose while I’m there.  I should make a list of options.  Excuse me while I brain dump:
