If you’ve been following the Kitty Poop Saga, I have some sad news to report. You guessed it. I came home to not one, but THREE piles of poo on the saran wrapped rug! Ugh! And not solid, but mush. Good news is that it’s saran wrap and not actual rug, so easy clean-up. Bad news is obvious.
Next Step: Aluminum foil.
Let’s see. I’m assigned to bring a veggie and/or additional salad to our Thanksgiving feast. Have you ever had those cauliflower mashed potatoes? They look/feel/taste just like mashed taters, but they are made out of cauliflower and garlic. Delicious!! And guess who makes them soooooooo well? SexyPants! So. I’m going to get him to make that and I’m looking up a good salad to make for us.
*later*
OK, so I’ve now been requested to make a cucumber salad. I know it’s a summer salad, but I looooovvvve cuke salad, so I will get the fixins tonight and make. Solves that issue.
Also fits into the diet plan.
Oh my lord, I looked at photos this morning. A year ago I was so angry at myself for getting out of shape, etc. so I put myself on a diet and workout regime back then. Was successful for a while and then I don’t know what happened. Yes I do. Life happened. Got engaged, got stressed about SOS, the incident happened, I soothed myself with booze and food, and voila! 15 pounds on TOP of the already not-so-great shape.
I’m going to bitch about it here until I turn it all around. So you may want to ditch this diary if you haven’t already (hah). I can do this. I know it. I just need to get it allllll out.
Side note: I’ve figured out some really cool things about expressing my thoughts and standing by my boundaries. People will listen and work around. You know? Like, compromise is one thing, but caving because you are afraid that someone won’t like you if you express your feelings? That’s bullshit.
Now. I’m not saying that I’m perfect at this yet, but I will say this and then I’m going to shut up. There’s something in the works via SexyPants that might, might be a workable solution to everyone involved (that would be me, SP and SOS). I’m not going to write it all out until SP has in under control, but he IS taking the kind of action that will set the ball rolling in favor of everyone being in a safe place.
Until he does that, and even after he does that, I still plan to stand by everything I believe. I will be strong.
A Strong Point of View
A Focused Long-Term Strategy
A Vocal Leader
Those were the top three messages I received from my internal interview feedback. So, the very same advice I’m putting into action for my work is what I will be using in my personal life going forward.
OK. Now I need to run and get a start on my Thanksgiving grub!
Love all around!
