F***ing idiots in OD

NB: I did try to post this yesterday, but OD’s problems kicked in. GRRRRRRRR!

You know that mural I’ve been helping paint? Well we went along today, hoping to get finished. We did not have much to do.

Then we saw it.

Some fucking idiots had come along in the last week and grafittied it. Not with marker pens, though. They had taken along PAINT and used that as well.

I just don’t get it. I give up my free time to help. To try and brighten up an area where these kids hang out. I ruin a perfectly good jacket and a perfectly good pair of shoes in the process. And THIS is the thanks I get? For dragging myself out of bed early on a Sunday morning to help them out? There are other things I could be doing. I have a lot of coursework to catch up on. Hell, I could have got more sleep.

But no. Muggins here volunteers to help these kids out. And this is the thanks I get. I was this () close to just walking away today. If it’s in the same state next time, I probably will.

And if I ever get my hands on the wankers responsible, I will tie them to the ground and tip a tin of paint on them. One tin each. See how they like it when something of theirs gets ruined for no apparent reason.

Rant over. I will now finish with a song.

i’ll fake it through the day
with some help from johnny walker red
send the poison rain down the drain
to put bad thoughts in my head
your two tickets torn in half
and a lot of nothing to do
do you miss me, miss misery
like you say you do?

a man in the park
read the lines in my hand
told me i’m strong
hardly ever wrong i said man you mean

you had plans for both of us
that involved a trip out of town
to a place i’ve seen in a magazine
that you left lying around
i don’t have you with me but
i keep a good attitude
do you miss me, miss misery
like you say you do?

i know you’d rather see me gone
than to see me the way that i am
but i am in the life anyway

next door the tv’s flashing
blue frames on the wall
it’s a comedy of errors, you see
it’s about taking a fall
to vanish into oblivion
is easy to do
and i try to be but you know me
i come back when you want me to
do you miss me miss misery
like you say you do?

Miss Misery by Eliot Smith. Kind of sums me up at the moment.

Will
