“The president is not an “elected king,” no matter how many bombs he can drop.”
Joe Pesci, With Honors.

I watched that film this week and love that quote.

Anyway, I had the house to myself (not including younger brother and the dog) this week. I managed to get through a loaf of bread, myself, in a day. I watched some of the last Big Breakfast on Friday (goodbye to a great and subversive show).

I also met pomplemous. We drank alcohol, ate food, smoked substances of dubious legality, she bought me my first McFlurry (damned fine) and watched The Day Today. I think fun was had by all, even if she was disappointed that I did not have black hair.

On my way home from meeting her I got an idea for another script. But I think I should get the two I’m working on at the moment finished.

Which is another thing I did this week. I typed up what I have written so far of the two scripts I’m working on.

And then today the Queen Mum died. At 101 it was not much of a surprise, but it is still upsetting. I’ve seen her from a distance at the Bremar Gathering. My thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.
