This is my last entry about attending a May Ball.

And what you are reading is my latest entry about attending a May Ball.

Everyone clear? Goody goody.

(I’m going to attempt a really long and descriptive entries a la Polter-Cow.)

So I went to a seminar where I played a version of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, with only 10 questions and split into two teams. It was on Social Psychology. My team became Harvard professors. (My speling is atrocious today. I do apologies.)

Then to FPI. Got a ticket. Waited for my number to be called out. Went inside. Met Clare Kramer.

She is even better looking in person. And she’s really nice.

Got the pic signed. Went to the Union. Dropped it off in my office. Went home.

Texted Helen to thank her for saving me £10 (the cost of the photos in FPI). Had a shower. Ironed my clothes for the Ball. Got dressed. Wine shirt, black trousers, long black coat. Dog collar in pocket. To the Union!

Got to the Union. Put my personal stereo in my office (as I did not want to risk losing it at the Ball). Then went to find Craig and Rachel. Craig was wearing a black suit, blue shirt (he did want to wear his pink one, but Rachel overruled it) and tie. Rachel was wearing a black dress. Rob and Kev were sitting with them. Rob was also in suit and tie, Kev wasn’t as he was not going to the Ball.

As I walked up to them Kev asked me where Buffy was. Left my jacket, got some food and a pint. His roundabout way of telling me I looked like Spike. I asked for chips and mayonaise but they had no chips. So i got potato wedges instead. After some talk, and my drink, Rob, Craig, Rachel and I went to catch the bus. No bus. Played on one of the machines in the Union. Went to get the bus again. Still no bus. Had another drink. Craig then proceeded to say that not only did I look like Spike but I smoke like him too. The bus was there this time.

And so to the Ball. Got there, went to the toilet, put my dog collar on. Was a little concerned that there was a proper tattoo artist there. Yup, you could get a real, actual tattoo. Is this really such a good idea when there are students there with the express reason to get pissed?

Also, bearing in mind that it is a student event is £2.40 not a tad much for a pint? Just wondering.

Went up to the casino. Played roulette. Managed not to spill any drinks on the table. Which is cool. Got a bit depressed (which when you remember that I was playing gooseberry was not much of a surprise). Asked Craig, Rob and Rachel what I should do about me and Helen. They all said the same thing. It’s up to you what you do. Well, I know that but I was hoping for a wee bit more help than that.

Also played blackjack. Got two 21’s in a row. Coolness. Then I bumped into Julie who was there with one of her housemates. She was wearing a gorgeous emrald green gown with a white panel on the front with white rosebuds which she made herself. Unfortunatly she had to cut of her sharp nails for her course. She agreed that I looked like Spike. Coolness (again). I upset her when I told her the bad news about Buffy.

Craig and Rachel had to leave as Rachel had a presentation and Craig was going somewhere. I hung around with Julie and housemate (who’s name I have forgotten). We danced a bit, and then it was time for the survivors photo.

Outside to bus. Julies housemate and her evil roommate from hell got on one bus. We had to wait. We sat on a rock (I being a gentleman let Julie sit on my jacket. I later put it around her shoulders as she was a bit cold.) I sat with my arm around her. Someone took a photo of the two of us. It turned out that it was someone I lived across the “road” from when I was in halls.

Just as we were thinking of getting a cab home, the buses returned. Got on the bus. Sat with my arm around her. Found out that as well as being a Buffy and Angel fan, she is also a wrestling fan. She may be coming to Reilleys to watch the next wrestling event with me. On the bus her housemate phoned and asked if Spike was still with her.

Got back and went round to Julies to watch Buffy. Watched the first three episodes of season three before Julie kicked me out as it was 5:10 and she had a 9 o clock start. As we watched Buffy we sat with my arms around her, holding hands. It didn’t go any further than that as she was a good girl and remembered that she has a boyfriend. But I took about 5 minutes to leave amid much hugging and hand holding. I finally got home and got to bed about 6.

Got up at 10, came into the library, found this Is this not just the funniest thing you’ve ever heard?

Party tonight, Connextion tomorrow. Julie will be there so I think I’ll go into full Spike outfit mode.

Great, just what I need. Complicate my life more.

Will.

P.S.; I don’t think I’m any good at this sort of entry.

P.S.2: All typos due to only four hours sleep.

X-Box: Same with the crap spelling.

Gamecube: Nothing to put here. I just didn’t want Nintendo to feel left out
