From Ananova:
Jeb Bush sends congratulatory letter to loser
Jeb Bush has mistakenly sent a letter of congratulation to the loser in an election.
Mr Bush, who is governor of Florida, sent the letter to Doug Racine of Vermont.
But Mr Racine lost the election to Republican state treasurer Jim Douglas on November 5.
The letter says: “Dear Governor-elect Racine. Congratulations to you, your family and staff on your recent election! I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to one of the most rewarding and challenging jobs in America.”
However, Mr Douglas’s camp wasn’t too worried about the mix-up.
Douglas spokesman Jason Gibbs said: “Governor-elect Douglas finds this situation amusing and is certainly not offended by it. This is obviously an honest mistake.”
Last weekend both Mr Bush and Mr Douglas attended a California meeting of Republican governors and governors-elect.
Mr Bush’s brother, President George W. Bush, knows the winner well because Mr Douglas chaired the Bush campaign in Vermont two years ago. The president called to congratulate Mr Douglas the day after his victory in the governor’s race.
Elizabeth Hirst, a spokeswoman for Jeb Bush, said the letter was the result of staff error.
“Congratulations have been made to Governor-elect Jim Douglas,” she added.

I refuse to comment any more on the stupidity of the Bush Bros.
